The Sinotruk HOWO 25cbm Aircraft Refueling Truck is a ground support vehicle specifically engineered to meet the demanding requirements for safe and efficient refueling of both commercial and private aircraft. Built upon the proven and robust Sinotruk HOWO heavy-duty chassis, it is powered by a reliable 371 HP diesel engine.

This aviation refueler integrates high-capacity fuel transportation with a precision dispensing system. It is purpose-built to satisfy the stringent operational standards of airports, airlines, and ground service operators, delivering dependable performance, operational safety, and full compliance with aviation refueling protocols.

1. High-Purity Aluminum Alloy Tank Construction

Unlike standard carbon steel tanks which pose risks of corrosion and fuel contamination, our tank is manufactured from 5182 Aluminum Alloy. This material is the industry standard for aviation fuel because it is lightweight (reducing overall vehicle weight), naturally corrosion-resistant, and non-reactive with Jet A-1 fuel, ensuring the fuel delivered to the aircraft wing is as pure as when it was in the storage farm.

Head Thickness: 5.8 mm

Baffle Thickness: 5.7 mm

Design: Features an elliptical cross-section to lower the center of gravity and ensure stability during cornering.

 

2. High-Flow Redundant Fuel Delivery System

Efficiency is measured in gallons per minute.

This refueler is equipped with a hydraulic system driven by a belt-driven power take-off (PTO), powering a self-priming centrifugal pump. It features a main hydraulic hose reel with a DN65 diameter and 20-meter length, equipped with two aviation pressure-stabilizing couplings, enabling a single-hose flow rate of 1,200 L/min for rapid under-wing refueling of wide-body aircraft.

It also includes a secondary DN38 hydraulic tank (flow rate 2,350 L/min), suitable for smaller aircraft or refueling operations.

 

3. Advanced Filtration & Defueling Capability

Fuel cleanliness is paramount. The unit is equipped with a dust collector/separator vessel capable of removing free water and solid particulates from the fuel stream at a rate of 2,500 L/min.

Pre/Post-filter sampling points facilitate quality control checks before and during refueling.

A closed-loop sampler, along with a custom sample recovery tank, ensures compliance with environmental standards and fuel testing accuracy.

4. Redundant Safety & DeadMan Control Systems

Safety is critical during aircraft refueling. This truck features multiple protective layers:

DeadMan Control System: Hydraulic and pneumatic controls automatically return to neutral and stop fuel supply when the operator releases the controls.

Advanced Sensor Control: An electromagnetic refueling controller with aircraft tank level sensors automatically cuts off flow to prevent overfilling and spillage.

Emergency Vents & Valves: Equipped with 4 aluminum vent valves and an 8-inch safety valve (emergency valve) located at the tank outlet. In the event of vehicle rollover, the shear section breaks to seal the tank.

Pressure Monitoring: Includes vacuum gauges, pressure gauges, differential pressure gauges (for filter monitoring), and venturi gauges for real-time comprehensive system status.

 

5. Operational Precision & Control Metering

Metering: Utilizes high-precision counters (accuracy class 0.2) for exact flow measurement to ensure transactional integrity.

Over-wing/Under-wing Options: The system is primarily designed for under-wing (single-point) refueling but can support over-wing operations via a spare hose.

Tank Access Hatches: Equipped with a rear-mounted ladder, internal/external tank inspection ports, and segmented liftable guardrails on the top walkway to ensure safety during top-access inspections.
